In Goldmund, a sound collage, women and men, both young and old, black and white and from a variety of different nations tell of the private dreams and associations with power that are triggered in their minds by the word “money”. Today, people buy things they don't need with money they don’t have to impress people they don't like. Money is abstract, yet nobody can escape it. “If you have money, you don't have to bow down”, Bertolt Brecht noted many years ago.

Made anonymous, portrayed only by their mouths, those portrayed wallow in imaginary abundance, revealing the desires and longings that they could satisfy with money and how possessing it would lend them respect and power. In addition to the video installation, the show at C/O Berlin will include 160 stills of the video in photograph form.
