Almost anyone can take photographs, but it's only in the darkroom that you really show your creativity! Above all, there is something magical about the process of taking analog pictures. The size of the hand print can be individually selected and the contrasts finely controlled. Afterwards, the photographed reality slowly emerges in the developer bath, an exciting interplay of light and shadow in the almost dark room. But how do you actually get the perfect photo in black and white? The young participants of the workshop first go in search of suitable motifs with an analog camera and then develop and dry their own film in the darkroom. The negatives then form the starting material for their own prints, a selection is made, the right image section and suitable photo paper are chosen. Every photo is unique!

Nora Bibel studied photography and media at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and communication design at the Weißensee School of Art. In addition to her artistic work, she has been working as a freelance photographer in the fields of portraits, people and travel since 1999 and as a professor of photography at HMKW Berlin since 2015. She is represented in many national and international exhibitions. The image of man is at the center of her interest and her work.

Arthur Pohlit is an (advertising) photographer with a degree in photo design from the Lette-Verein Berlin (2019). In addition to his photographic work in the advertising industry (e.g. Adidas, Montblanc), he also runs workshops at the Berlin Fashion School, where he shares his in-depth knowledge and passion for photography. Arthur is always looking for new challenges to further develop his creative vision and expand his portfolio. He is based in Berlin and Vienna.
