In this dialogue format, artists, experts and companions of William Eggleston take a subjective look at the influential work of the US pioneer of color photography, who made a significant contribution to establishing photography as an art form. During joint tours of the exhibition, the audience is invited to engage with Eggleston's influence on the art world from very different perspectives. Away from a classic photo-historical localization, the format is about is about exciting background information on Eggleston's creative phases, which are illuminated by means of selected works, the production process of his photographs or very personal anecdotes about his iconic images. This time with Christine Frisinghelli.

As co-founder of the Austrian photography journal Camera Austria International, she worked closely with William Eggleston for the issues 13/1983; 22/1987; and 72/2000, and his lecture to the 1985 Symposium on Photography contributed significantly to his prominence in Europe. In the run-up to the comprehensive retrospective, Frisinghelli was a participant in the kick-off symposium William Eggleston and Berlin, held at C/O Berlin in May 2022, the results of which were included in the publication Mystery of the Ordinary

Christine Frisinghelli is a curator, author and mediator with a focus on contemporary photography; From 1976 she was part of the artists' association Forum Stadtpark Graz (with Manfred Willmann) where she organized exhibitions as well as annual "Symposia on Photography" between 1979-1997; In 1980 she was co-founder of the magazine Camera Austria International where she was editorial director until 2010; From 1996 to 1999 she was artistic director of the festival steirischer herbst and from 2001-2022 custodian of the photo archive Pierre Bourdieu. In addition to teaching positions in Vienna, Zurich, Graz, she was most recently a lecturer at the Fondazione Modena di Arti Visive.
