Stories Of Color And Light

How about slipping into a different role, putting yourself in the limelight or having yourself put in the limelight, using costumes or special objects to show who you actually are? Or who you've always wanted to be? 

With the help of portrait photography, it is possible to emphasize special features of people or to create moods. Colors and light play a particularly important role here. Using a few examples, participants will gain an insight into the work of important portrait photographers and the diverse design possibilities in photography. And then they can experiment with disguises, accessories, different camera techniques and, above all, with color and light!

Participants will find inspiration for their own photos in the current exhibitions by Tyler Mitchell and Studio Rex at C/O Berlin. Part of the exhibition is a specially equipped photo studio that can be used for the workshop. Join us and let your creativity run free!

Antonia Richter successfully completed her training as a photo designer at the Lette-Verein in Berlin and has won numerous photo competitions. She works as a freelance photo designer for renowned national and international companies.

Florina Limberg studied "Cultural Studies and Aesthetic Practice" at the University of Hildesheim, majoring in Fine Arts, Theater and Pedagogy. Since 2009 she has been running art, exhibition and theater projects for adults as well as art and theater workshops for children and young people, including mask theater, land art, animated film and object construction, together with a colleague as "Kirschendieb & Perlensucher Kulturprojekte". Since 2014, she has regularly led artistic workshops at the ATRIUM and courses at the Wunderrot painting school, and for several years now also at the resiART project space.
