Winter Break Special: TRICKFILM DREAMS

Going to school in a hot air balloon? A room that tidies itself? The grey city changes into a riot of colour overnight? Your dreams can come true in the animated film - in miniature! With paper and cardboard, pencil, paint, scissors and the collective creativity of a small team, you can make the world the way you would like it to be!

In this workshop you will learn how to make a cut-out animation, how to design, cut and assemble the figures, and breathe life into them. No previous knowledge is required, just a little patience - and a lot of imagination: this will be transformed into small scenes, magical worlds without time and gravity. Only you decide what is possible and what is not!

Jan Caspers came to animated film via puppetry, silhouettes and robot theatre and has been running stop-motion workshops for C/O Berlin Education for over ten years.

Gary Rosborough has been working as an animation film teacher for twenty-five years. He has inspired countless children, young people and adults on four continents with the expressive possibilities of animated film.
